Bryan Abessi, M.D.

Dr. Bryan Abessi is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Lafayette College (Easton, PA) and received his medical degree from Albany Medical College (Albany, NY). He was recognized for his achievements during his medical education by being invited to join the Alpha Omega Alpha society. He completed his medicine internship as well as his ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center. He remained in Albany for fellowship training in corneal and refractive surgery at Cornea Consultants of Albany.
Education and research are valued to Dr. Abessi. He was awarded the Robert Reineke Research Award and the Dr. Cetner Eye Resident Award during his residency in addition to serving as chief resident. He has taken part in numerous research projects and has presented at meetings, including the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
In his spare time, Dr. Abessi enjoys spending time with his wife. He also enjoys playing basketball, golf, as well as traveling.
